Welcome!

Helping Paws Pet Haven is a no-kill animal sanctuary and adoption center for cats. Located in Huntington, Indiana, HPPH provides shelter for abandoned, neglected, and abused felines in a unique, cage-free facility.

While HPPH works toward placing all felines in good homes, we realize that some cats may never be adopted because of medical conditions, age, or other reasons. For these cats we provide special community areas that allow them to play, rest, socialize, and live out their natural lives in a safe, comfortable, caring environment.

September 21st, 2008 Paw Print for Sunday, September 21, 2008

Howdy ya 'll...long time no talk to! I told our lovely volunteers that I needed to EXPRESS my feelings this week to all you WONDERFUL people. I got to go up early to the Fall Garage Sale and WOW...I mean DOUBLE-WOW ...you people out-did yourselves this year! I found some of the most precious keep-sakes for my treasure chest this year that I thought I died and went to kitty-heaven. I just want to extend the BIGGEST Thank You to all you kind folks that donated items for our sale, plus all the grand folks that came up and bought things like I did and most important to all the gracious volunteers who put in tons of hours getting the items ready for the sale. Our famous leaders, David Vogleman and Denise McNally, were just fabulous co-chairs of this event. They told us that we can have some special treats this coming week, since we made enough money to pay some of our medical bills, spay & neuter a few of the toddlers, and have some left for treats. From all the Kit-Kats from Helping Paws....our hats go off to each and every one of YOU!!! I've got to go look over my rare treasures again....so here's Ms. Gabby. Hi Yeeeeeeee...Ms Gabby here....and I too want to say MANY THANKS to each of you. We love to get some of the new sheets, blankets and comforters for the Pet Haven and Adoption Center that people donate to the sale. It makes us orphaned cats feel more special and know that many of you have been thinking about us. We would love for any of you to come out and see our new "stuff" and stay and visit with us and maybe even take the time to brush us and clip our nails and talk to each of us and tell us how beautiful we are. I must go paint my nails now so here's Ms LuLu. Hello Darlings....Ms LuLu here...and I know that you haven't forgotten that I'm your favorite "couch-therapist"! I too got to go up to the garage sale and see all the nifty stuff that many of you kind folks dropped off. Who ever donated the hot-pink feather boa...you're my kind of gal! That was the very first think that I knew I had to have to go with my gorgeous green eyes. I look marvelous wearing it....I think that I will need to have a glamour shot taken of me and send it to Hollywood. I might become even more famous than Garfield!!! I also need to extend my paw out to ask you kind folks for 30-gallon trash bags, paper towels, paper plates, 9-Lives canned cat food, laundry detergent, fabric dryer sheets, bleach, and postage stamps. If you have any pocket change available you could certainly send a financial donation to Helping Paws, P.O. BOX 5261, Huntington, In. 46750 to help us with our utility bills. I must go show-off my rare fines with all the other Kit-Kat....so until next time....wishing you Happy Trails until we meet again. Kitty-hugs and kitty-licks from Ralph, Gabby, Ms. LuLu and all the orphaned Kit-Kats from Helping Paws.
